Hey Pete, good to have a fellow Kiwi join HairFlix Society! To answer your question, after a video is uploaded it is converted to Flash so that visitors can watch it without needing to install any additional software. Most of the videos on here have been pulled in from popular sites like YouTube and Google Video. You might try upgrading to Flash Player 9. Let me know if you still have problems.
